I have been meaning to post this for some time now as it is one of the most creative pieces of furniture that I have seen made in a while. The concept is that you peel away the layers of fabric that make up the chair as you would the leaves of a head of cabbage, until you have a suitable seating area. I have a soft spot for simple unique Japanese design and this piece definitely fits the bill of gorgeous simple function.
No big surprise here, the chair was designed for an exhibition curated by Issey Miyake.
